Justice for Nadra Foster

There are two events planned for Nadra next week.


1. Community Planning Meeting - This is where we will discuss how to move forward with the Justice for Nadra Movement. We will discuss the $5000 Nadra needs as a retainer for a lawyer, we will discuss her next Sept.
26th court date, we will discuss the upcoming KPFA Fund Drive which will be in full swing, we will discuss the CR 10 Conference and how that can be used to the Justice for Nadra Movement's benefit, and we will also discuss the cultural fundraiser. This meeting is next Wednesday Sept 24th at 6pm.


2. Justice for Nadra fundraiser - (We need someone to make a flyer) - This will primarily be a cultural event where artists will perform and we will get donations to help Nadra pay off her legal and medical bills. At this point, we have rappers East Bay Politix performing, Traci B. will be dancing, as well as there will be a few more acts. This event was organized to take advantage of the thousands of activist who will be converging on Oakland for CR10. This event will be hosted by the Block Report's Minister of Information JR, and members of the 1st Voice Apprenticeship Program.This event will take place on Sunday, September 28 at 4pm.


Both events will be at the Black New World (The Home of the Justice for Nadra! Movement) - which is located at 836 Pine, in West Oakland.
