You have the first amendment rights to choose to record music of your own choosing. But I feel that the recent release of your song attacking Senators Clintons and McCain, as well and Jesse Jackson only hurts Senator Obama who you've stated is a friend and he has your support. But with friends like you Obama doesn't need enemies. Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Phlegher, Jesse Jackson and now you have all made public statements during this historic election that were an unnecessary distraction and harmed Obama causing him to respond. If you were really his friend you would realize that maybe you should just shut up. This is a close race and there are many Americans who are undecided and looking for an excuse not to vote for a Black man and then you have the audacity to call Sen. Hillary Clinton an "irrelevant bitch?!" I can envision the McCain and Republican attack ads now with pictures of you and Obama; exploiting your comments and letting white America know that Obama has the support of rappers like you who call white women bitches. Our organization, Project Islamic Hope, has a long track record and history of condemning not just you, but all gangster rappers who disparage women and glorify violence. And were not ever backing down from our position Ludacris, we're calling for you to apologize to those that you disparaged in your song with a special emphasis in regard to Sen. Clinton who you called an "irrelevant bitch." Sen. Clinton is a former first lady, wife, mother and woman. I'm sure when you see Michelle Obama, you don't envision her in that manner and would never call her that. No woman deserves to be called that term. Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly has previously taken you task; denouncing you over your controversial lyrics. His public pressure cost you a significant sponsorship with the Pepsi Corporation. Oprah Winfrey took you to task for the misogynist role you have in rap when you appeared on her show a couple of years ago. And now Obama has personally denounced you. I doubt very seriously whether you will be on his guest list for the inauguration. When are you going to realize that yes you're rich but not respected and that you have become your own worst enemy? I support Obama with all my heart and want him to win. If you truly feel the same way then maybe you could humble yourself and apologize. If not, can you and any other Obama friends out there just shut up until after the election, because if Obama has any more friends like you he doesn't need enemies. I swear if I had their personal # I would personally call them and check they ass and I will be the conscious voice in their life. This is the problem, nobody will smack the shit out of them when they say something LUDACRIS. But the question is when will they get the right information and learn how to articulate their selves in the spot light? This is my problem with hip-hop, when someone says something stupid no one says anything, and they don't listen to their elders, so a brother like me is looking for other brothers like me that will enforce change by any means necessary. First of all, let me sat that I respect Brotha Ali and his organization for all they do, and they do a lot for commuities everywhere. I agree that Ludacris, like many of us, chose an inappropriate way in which to relay his opinions. However, the way Ali has chosen to relay his opinion is just as inappropriate and problematic, if not more. I find it interesting and bit hypocritical that Ali suggested that Obama's ties to gangsta rapppers could be used by his adversaries to twist his views and bring him down. What do you think those same uninformed, determined adversaries would do with Obama's ties to "Project Islamic Hope"? Especially when a lot of naive people already think that Obama is a covert Muslim because of his name. If you studied the backgrounds of several of PIH's members, you'll find things that if misconstrued well enough, could also bring Obama to a skreeching halt. PHI is heavily funded. So, I'm sure Ali had the resources to contact Ludacris personally to discuss his position privately. What we the public shoud have seen was Ali and Ludacris united. If Ali's cirlcle of influence fused with Luda's circle of influence, the power generated by those two energy forces alone could accomplish almost anything. So, if that "anything" happens to be getting Obama elected, then it should be realized that now is not the time for any Black men or women to be coming out against each other, especially pubicly and especially those of us with huge influences. I'm not in any way disrespecting Najee Ali or his organization. I personally think that more of us need to follow his lead in our own circles. I'm just saying that, whether justified or not, it's pointless and ultimately devisive to pubicly air beef amongst ourselves. If all who wanted Obama elected just "shut up" (publicly), vote for him, and influence those in their circles to register and do the same, then it would be a landslide victory for him. Instead, you've got Black people from all over the place not doing what needs to be done in order for him to win. And that's dropping their differences long enough to present a united front on at least this matter. That's the silent majority that will secure Obama's victory. It's the same silent majority that the late, great Harold Washington was able to temporarily unite to get into office. That silent majority allowed itself to become disenfranchised after Washington's death. As a result, the Brotha(s) poised to keep Washington's efforts going never had a chance. They were the victims of their own ambition, or the lack thereof. The opposing candidate (who's still in office today) just sat back, watched the silent majority split back into the loud minorities, and reaped the benifits. You could say that the silent majority basically gave the election away. You could say that the same thing could possibly happen in this election if Obama supporters don't become his "silent majority". However, that would require that they collectively learn to put aside their differences, sacrifice short term personal agendas, and focus on a grander goal. When working towards a common goal, much more energy and power is generated and streamlined towards that goal if the energy forces are working together. Separate the energy forces, and that lessens the amount and strength of the energy needed for the goal to be accomplished. Black people have more energy than any other group in this country. It's just that most of it is suppressed, separated, and channeled in the wrong directions. An opportunity to possibly help release that power is at hand. But instead of slapping each other with opportunity's hand, they should just grab it, and don't let go!!!

Luda has never claimed to be the representative or spokesperson of Black America, and more importantly, nor has Obama for that matter. I understand the desire to have a black man in the highest political position in America representing the ideals of Black people and what-not............but what does that have to do with Obama? Obviously he never said that he is, so why do you believe that he is? Is it because he is black? Here's how it works: Obama HAS TO denounce Luda's song for the sake of "perception" (emphasis on the word "perception"), regardless if he really likes the song or not. He is playing the game of "politics"; and in this game, "perception" is more important than "purpose". He can't be associated with anything that can be deemed as polarizing, regardless of if the polarizing thing is true or not, because "Truth" comes second to "Triumph" in politics (which is why the people who brought the greatest "change" to the world were NOT in politics.....i.e. Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Harriet Tubman, Jesus the Christ, etc.). For example, Obama had to separate himself from Jeremiah Wright because Jeremiah said that America has mistreated minorities all over the world, and the their "chickens are coming home to roost." White America did not like this.....especially coming from the black preacher of the black presidential hopeful. Most of us know that Wright was right......however, we got mad at him because we felt that now was not the time to speak the truth. Why not??? The year before an election year is the MOST ideal time to speak the truth - right??? Obama was more concerned about his "perception" than he was the truth, therefore, he separated himself from Wright in order to win the support of those he hadn't convinced yet (because he knew that you black folks weren't going anywhere.....that's also why he didn't see a need to attend the State of the Black Union address, and Hillary did). But I have this question: When is it ever not the right time to speak the truth???? Wait a minute....I have the answer: The only time when it is bad to speak the truth is when someone wants you to believe a lie. Message! Yes, politics is a game! The problem is that most of y'all don't know that you are pawns in the game and are the ones who are getting played when you buy into the perceptions. The best politician in the game is the one who can appear the least like one, and this is where Hillary faltered, and where Obama excels. From the perspective of politics, this is GREAT....but for the well-being of the people, not so much. We need to stop getting so caught up in outward appearances and percpetion.....because in all honesty, these mean absolutely NOTHING if it doesn't match it's "purpose". Because if we were truly concerned about "purpose", we would be asking Obama why he just passed the warrantless wire tapping bill, and why he is now supportive of offshore drilling ; both of which he adamantly campaigned AGAINST just a few months ago. What "changed"???? Aren't these the 2 bills that Bush and McCain have been trying to get approved???? Just becasue things look different, it doesn't mean that they are, but I digress. Oh, I must add this. Obama approved the wiretapping bill after it was modified. But the only modification that was done is that now the phone companies no longer have full immunity. They have to get a letter from the government first to protect them from citizens who wish to press charges. But, the government has already sent the letters out to the phone companies. So essentially, they do have immunity. It just came in the form of a letter as opposed to the bill.** So, instead of attacking Luda for his freedom of expression through his music from HIS point of view, we should be coming and defending the voice of Hip Hop and our freedom of speech - regardless of whether or not it confirms or denies our opinion about our heros - because this is truly how "change" comes about.
