*Fallout from Shaquille O'Neal's infamous freestyle dis of Kobe Bryant has rippled all the way to Maricopa County, Ariz., where the Phoenix Suns star is a "special deputy" in the sheriff's department.
"I want his two badges back," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told the AP, "Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they're fired. I don't condone this type of racial conduct."
Shaq made headlines after a clip of his freestyle rhyme at a New York club Sunday night - which was posted Monday at TMZ.com - ridiculed his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate-turned-rival Kobe Bryant.
In the freestyle, O'Neal teased Kobe and the Lakers' for failing to win a championship after he was traded from the team in 2004. He also blamed Kobe for ruining his marriage when he told cops in his rape case that he "should have done what Shaq does ... Shaq would pay his women not to say anything."
TMZ cornered Nas at Hollywood hotspot Beso Monday night and asked him to comment on Shaq's rhyme. The rapper's response was: "Shaq is my man, f*** Kobe." (View Nas' entire response here.)
TNT basketball analyst Kenny Smith was also hit up by TMZ Monday night and said he was skeptical about Shaq's rhyme being an actual "freestyle."
"I've gotta see if Shaq's freestyle is what it used to be," he said. "I don't know if
it's still tight. He might've wrote all that down." (View Kenny Smith's entire response here.)
