Police Terror Strikes Southern Cali Again
Two Mentally Disturbed People Shot by Police in Front of Grieving Family Members
by Davey D
More sad news
from LA... Two more people have been gunned own by Southern Cali police. One was a mentally disturbed woman in San Bernadino. The other was a mentally
disturbed man in Long Beach.
In the case of the woman, the husband flagged down a passing patrol car after his wife booted him from the apartment. She has a history of schizophrenia and the police have been to the apartment before to help medicate and calm her down. This incident should've been no different. The husband explained to the police her mental condition and thus fully expected the police to be prepared to deal with her.
When the officers arrived the woman greeted them with a metal bar. She did not swing it, but instead held it with two hands like a baton and stepped forward telling everyone to back up. Instead of finding a non-lethal way to take her down they shot her. (Keep in mind Southern Cali police lead the country in non-lethal weapons. They have nets, bean bags- the whole nine. In fact Southern Cali cops are frequently highlighted on shows aired on the Discovery Channel where they showcase their new weapons.
)
Now peep how news stories get spun.. On the video link below you will see the 'police version' of the story is what's shown. Its the 5 am news story. Here we get the story about the woman swinging a weight bar wildly and the officers feeling threatened thus shooting her and sending her to the hospital.

What's not shown are the archived reports are the later reports which I saw at &;30 and 8 am on this same news channel (Fox 11). Here the husband is interviewed. He's upset and bewildered as to why the police shot his wife. He explains her ongoing mental condition and shows how is wife supposedly 'charged' the officers. He also asks why they could not have taken her down another way. His wife is now in the hospital in grave condition.
My guess is because of the rash of police shootings nationwide, we weren't gonna be treated to the non-police version of the story at least via the archives.
The other shooting involves a terminally ill man in Long Beach. his name was Roketi Sue. Here the family summoned police to the house because he was acting out. Sue has a history of mental problems. According to the reports when officers arrived at the families request, he punched one of the officers which resulted in him being shot to death.
The family is outraged and questions why the police would resort to such a drastic tactic. Police frequently encounter out of control meth and coke heads in the suburbs and rarely is anyone shot. They are tasered, bully clubbed or martial arts is used to subdue them. After the man was shot the neighborhood showed up several dozen people deep and surrounded the police. Back up was called and crowd was dispersed. here's the early news story...

The LA District Attorney is investigating the shooting doe to the fact that it resulted in a death and happened before a number of witnesses who claim the shooting was unwarranted.
In both cases the police were called to help troubled family members. The end result were two police shootings, one of them fatal. Lesson: Don't call the police cause they aren't protecting you.. and the only thing they are seemingly serving is death and mayhem. In the past week Southern Cali police have shot and killed 7 people.
I don't wanna leave people feeling hopeless of traumatized by simply reporting all these police acts of terrorism. People are and will continue to fight back.
For starters we encourage people to hit up Immortal Technique who has been collecting and compiling police brutality stories. He is planning on taking all these stories to the United nations and getting some sort of Tribunal going.

Chairman Fred Hampton Jr and Minister of Information JR have been hard on the case with their organization the POCC and Block Report Radio.
They been documenting numerous police abuse cases and killings. A surprising number rarely make the news and had it not been for their coverage we would still be in the dark on lot incidents. They look at all cases with a special emphasis on things going on locally here in Cali. They been following up with indepth reports which comes from interviewing the victims families and the lawyers involved in some of these cases.
They also look up the official police reports,do their own investigations and point out any inconsistencies by sharing them with the community through their radio shows or the columns penned in the SF Bayview Newspaper.
They've also been lighting fires under the asses of those officials who are slow to move.

Hip Hop Congress along with San Jose based DeBug is putting together a police accountability CD that will feature artists from Cali, Seattle, Chicago and the throughout the south. HHC already put out a widely watched video after a police abuse incident in Olympia during a dead prez show. There will a big meeting this Sunday at 2:30 pm in San Jose at the DeBug office for people who have been terrorized by the police or have had harrowing encounters with the Santa Clara county criminal justice system. A couple of years ago D-Bug played a critical role in bringing attention to a police incident of a mother being shot in her own home by out of control police after she held up a kitchen knife.

One Hood out of Pittsburgh, Pennsyvania is an organization that started out as a group of ministers and pastors from all faiths who decided to walk the streets and engage wayward youth and gang members. They soon found themselves having to patrol the hood and investigate police terrorism incidents.
Last year they kick up dust and brought national attention to an out of control cop who pointed a gun at a crying seven year old girl seated in the back seat of a car her mother was driving. The mom was pulled over for a traffic violation. The girl started crying and the officer pointed a gun at her to shut her up. The horrified mother yelled out Jesus and she was subsequently arrested for disturbing the peace.
Initially the police tried to downplay the incident, but after One Hood got on the case it became a red hot political topic that all politicos had to address. They couldn't get criminal charges to stick with the police but they did manage to get the mother's bogus charges dropped.
As of late they are investigating a case where a young man was shot after he was accused of shooting a police dog. Witnesses, including one of the Ministers from One Hood maintain the young brother had no gun and that it was the police who shot the dog. An ambulance was called and the dog was loaded up and taken to the hospital while the young man was left on the street for over three hours still alive. He eventually succumbed to his injuries. The One Hood fam has committed themselves to not let this incident go... Hit them up at onehood@gmail.org or www.1hood.org
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Lots of people are stepping up and showing that they've had enough of the abuse.
Finally we strongly urge people to start making police terrorism and ways to hold thewm accountable a campaign issue,, not just for those vying for president, but for local officials running for office. Research and find out who is running for district attorney and see if they are pro-cop or pro-people. See how they handle past police brutality issues. Find out the stances of those running for mayor or city council. Ending police terrorism starts locally. Also we should start seeing who in congress is willing to put forth some sort of bill that will hold out of control cops more accountable.
