This article is interesting to me because I had the opportunity to become a Juvenile Justice corrections officer recently. They were going to start me out with rank actually, since one of my board members is an assistant warden, and I'm qualified. I turned it down because I didn't want to work with the kids in that capacity. The decision was costly i turned down more money than I was making, but I feel good with myself. Who cares? A lot of people care for a couple of basic reasons.. 1-If he was a correction officer then the question arises what kind of correction officer? Was he the type who was inside whupping on people? violating their rights? Telling them not to move keys and break the law while he was implying both in song and interview he was that type of individual?

The problem is not the fans.. Its the artist and labels who insist on pushing an image and staying in character when it...

Who cares anyway? That picture doesn't even look like him...well maybe it is minus the beard, but that's not the point. People think that rappers have to be gangstas to be rappers. All you really need is a lyrical imagination.
Rick Ross is denying this though. So what? He had a better job than I had in '95. Hip hop fans take this lyric thing to seriously. OK, so with the FBI, DEA, Secret Service, Local NARC Units and etc. making a living and getting paid to bring the drug...

Personally, I think Rick Ross deserves forebearance cuz of how he treats black women in his music. Listen again and peep the respect and reverence he shows.

Now there is suspicion that hes a hip hop cop. If he is then he gotta go but if he aint then he aint done worse than a rapper who boast about sellin coke or rappers who ACTUALLY DO, now is he? This is from a real dude, who came up with real situations and real life. First of all, man who cares? Tupac told alot of lies to get hype and blow up with Death Row. Big was more upset that Pac was lying than anything else. Big saw Pac and asked Pac why he was lying. Pac just started shaking his head back and forth saying, "I'm just trying to get this money. Is there any reason to not completely disown commercial rap, in light of this? Enough of this supporting rappers just because they're rappers, not being a hater, et al. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back, far as I'm concerned. It's all independent and underground for me, from here on out. I can't waste my time any longer giving these commercial hip hop buffoons the benefit of the doubt.
